Any hints or tips on manually adjusting the headlights? Units are depo and the beam seems to be firing high.it must be irritating other road users judging by the flashes I'm getting.

There are some sort of adjusty things like on the standard lights but no plugs internally that the switch on the dash would operate.

Has the car had a recent MOT?

 

The light beam would need to aim correctly to pass this.

 

And, what switch on the dash? Some have a load adjuster. I have on my estate.

What are DEPO headlights?

 

A quick Google search suggests they make patterned parts of OEM design, in which case they should be identical to the genuine Skoda lights?

Make sure the bulb is located correctly and not upside down. its a very common problem. Even more since a certain car spare franchise has started fitting bulbs for a small fee. Not a perfect test but park facing a wall and see if both are the same hight.

Depo are similar to standard lights but have black internal's and the plug for the motor us different to oe, it passed it's mot with the originals in as I didn't break it till after and needed to replace them. I'll check all the bulbs and adjust them at the weekend.

There are some plastic type adjuster's on them the same as standard so I'll have a go at those too.
