Couple of Questions

Featured Replies

As title first  I'm running 17"s with winter tyres on my VRS I've been offered a set of 16" with summer tyres for a very good price will 16" fit the Vrs without issues?

Second how easy are the mirror caps/covers to remove, I want to get them dipped, and would it be an issue to run with now mirror caps for a week?

Fabia VRS has 288mm front disc brakes so 16'' with the correct offset will not be a problem, as for the mirror caps are a little difficult to remove them. Perhaps a sticker would be easier?

Tried stickers on my last cars then had them dipped and the dipped covers were a lot nicer and looked a lot better

that's the thing 195/45 R16's not ideal but it would just be for a few weeks when I get my winter tyres off and the 17"s refurbed

Worse than not ideal, pretty hopeless really. You would need bigger tyres on like 205/45/16 maybe.

What Speed / Load rating are those 195/45 R16's?

If the Speed / Load rating is OK for on a vRS then as a temporary measure they would do,

but check what they are.

(Even though you only adhere to the Speed Limit, fit the correct Speed Rating to be safer with valid insurance.)

They're off a mk1 VRS so I think they are the same speed rating, I'll check cheers, to be honest think i'll just keep the winter tyres on for now and wait for a more suitable set of wheels and tyres to come up

You could spray the caps with plastidip spray couldn't you? I've not tried it.....yet but I have plans to spray the badges up in matte black on my Mondeo. It's about £15 for a can IIRC
