New FABIA VRS arriving for me in March! Some questions though!?

Featured Replies

Wow....I cant wait till March. I have just Ordered my New FABIA VRS in Pearlescent Black. I cant wait gonna be fun.

I previously owned a clio 1.2 16v which i had lots of fun with. It's styling was different to the rest of the cars out at the time and I loved it to bits. But I have to say by bye to it in march. Although my girlfriend is buying it off me. Not sure if its a good idea. Maybe it may be best to say bye to it still you never know!

Any how. Purchasing the Fabia from Autofinders (www.autofinders.ltd.uk) V.Cheap! Im getting it for just over 12k (special offer though!) with ESP, Xenon Lights, Heated Seats and Cruise Control. It will be the NUTS!

I was originally wanting a new 182 but realised it would be V expensive to run and I didn't really think it would be worth it.

I was just wondering if any one knows how the 2 cars would compare? In gear times etc. Im guessing they should be quite similar!?

Anyways nice to be part of Briskoda now hope to speak to you all soon!

Hi Chris

Welcome to the forum.

You will not be dissapointed with your new purchase.

They are great cars and the Black is a lovely colour.

Dont know how the 2 cars will compare as I have not had much to do with the Clio`s.

But I am sure that someone would be able to help you as there are some clever people on here.

Anyway you will learn alot about your new car on here.

Have fun searching

Sarah

Welcome to the forum firstly

Do a search on the forums, in the Fabia section, as there's one member who now has a 182 and previously owned a vRS. There's quite a lengthy thread to be read about the differences, similarities, general comparisions etc

A nice choice of options and a good price, I'm sure you can't wait for March to arrive :)

Steve

Hi Chris and welcome,

Just taken delivery of mine today (in the snow). Certainly has a lot of 'Grunt' but not the best weather to test it out in.

You WILL enjoy

John

welcome to briskoda

Welcome to Briskoda. Cut your credit cards up now :D

I too came from a 1.2 16v clio.

hi. and welcome.

You cannot compare in gear due to the differences between petrol and diesel. What you WILL notice is the torque at around 3000 rpm. The 'In gear' times are irrelevant. I have only been in one faster diesel (BMW 530) and that blew the Fabia away!! as it should do for that price and all those horses and torques!! The Clio 182 is a much faster car to 60 but thats all. After that the Fabia will just be able to keep up

I understand that the Fabia would probably need to be put on "eibachs" to bring out more potential from it. How much do these cost?

Also does the Fabia handle well on the standard setup?

There's a group buy on at the moment, see the Group Buys section

£125, before fitting. Bargain - go add yourself to the list :P

Steve

EDIT: It handles pretty reasonably as standard, a bit more roll and nose dive than I'd like, which is why I'm on the Eibach Group Buy list. Oh, and it'll make the car look a bit more purposeful, as it's got a bit of an off-roader look to the arches at the moment
