Is it just me?

Featured Replies

08 vrs pre FL diesel

When the tank is about 1/4 full the car seems a little bit lumpy.

It also feels a little bit strange under foot. Still doesn't hesitate to go when you put your foot down.

When the fuel runs down its OK and if I fill the tank it's OK?

Just seems a little strange, anyone else had or have something like this?

My previous Octavia vrs tdi had a slight hesitation like you've described and it's been mentioned a few times about this being a common issue on the pd engine not sure about the cr. However, if yours has a dpf, if the car needs a regen it won't carry this out if the car only has 1/4 tank of fuel so it could be something related to that.

I tend to drive lots of motorway miles so it shouldn't be the dpf.

I can normally tell if it's dpf time as the revs go up.

I'm getting the revs stay constant at about 800 ish

When was the fuel filter last changed?

I had a sort of stutter/hesitation on my PD140 caused by a faulty tandem pump - but I also had diesel leaking into the oil.

Fuel filter was replaced less than 10,000 miles ago.

Only used premium grade diesel for the last 15,000 miles.

No hesitation when driving today but tank is 3/4 full.
