Just fitted a short Vauxhall aerial on the Fabia to prevent it catching on my garage door. The part No is 47 05 831 and it comes off a Meriva or Zafira ( if you're thinking of getting one by foul means ).

Not only does it now clear the garage door, but due to it being 5" shorter it looks loads better aswell. You will have to trim some of the plastic on the new aerial to expose some extra thread, but it is easily done. The reception is also unchanged, so all in all well worth the £8.50 price tag.

I don't have a working camera at the moment, but try and imagine the original, only 5" shorter.

Did it fit okay without trimming? My VX sports car ariel had to be trimmed to mate up properly. I can vouch for it looking good though, and still looks original - just subtly different.
