It won't affect anything, pointless mod, puts the EML on and will need remapping to switch it off.

Try the search function Khoram. There is endless information on it. Also look at the 'sticky' section which is at the top of the page. There is a thread located in it titled "Guide: How to remove EGR Valve and fit group buy EGR Delete".
