My car is fighting me

Featured Replies

So I have a 2011 diesel Vrs estate and as I'm only doing 6-7k miles a year and I've finished paying it off I've decided it's time for a change

The offending motor

It's been pretty reliable apart from P2015 code the exhaust manifold thingy which I managed to fix at a mates garage. I'm not sure if DMF is on its way out, not had anything diagnosed but there's some slight juddering when accelerating in 5&6th

I love the new shape and been hankering for a petrol so I've put a deposit down on this

That was a week last Saturday since then my mk2 has done nothing but spite me

There's a squeak from one of the rear calipers, but doesn't look ceased

I took my s3 short shift off and snapped on of the cable retaining clips and it's been an absolute pig to realign

Now on my 7 min journey to work the drivers side front spring has snapped !

That'll never get me 80 miles to pick up the new one aaaaagggghhhhhhh

Sorry all rant over, thanks for the therapy

Unlucky! But OTOH, I'm very jealous of the new motor. Enjoy!

Not feeling too sorry for you with a new motor like that! Very nice. The old motor looks pretty neat too even with a trolley jack hanging out the side! I've heard things like you've described in threes so with some luck you'll be ok now....

Yeah know what you mean guys, I'm sounding like a spoilt brat, just had to have a rant and the tiniest excuse to show off the new motor

Hehe. My I ask how much it was, or even how much you got for the part ex?

It's a good job I didn't buy it :) Love the new one.

You probably made the mistake of talking about letting it go in its presence, always take them by surprise like an animal going to the vet!
