anybody added a genuine twin horn not ec9

Featured Replies

ok so i have the roomster but figured this would be more of a mod that would be done on a fabia

i have the weedy single tone horn and looking on etka the high tone on the dual horn is the same part number as the single tone fitted on mine but also has the addition of a low tone as well  for dual model's

i cant work out if the wiring will need altering or if the std plug i have fitted will plug into one horn only with a link lead of some sort to the 2nd horn

any body carried out this mod

I've done this to mine, you will need an extra plug to fit the new horn, and you will also need to extend the wiring from the original loom to connect the additional horn.

I bought 2 new plugs and crimped both the original wire and the extra section into each of the terminals to make a neater joint, but you could just as easily cut the wire a few inches from the plug and then add your extra wire from there.

This is the plug you will need.

Any reason why you don't want the ec9? Is it because you already have the high tone? Just curious.

I like the tone of the stock dual horns

Plus it's a lease car so I can just send it back after a few years with both horns on and not faff about taking them off just incase they start being shirty (probably won't notice) but everything I have done mod wise has been straight swap for oem stuff
