Octavia vrs 2014 Columbus sd card recommendations

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm currently using a 32 GB sdhc card in my VRS but have filled the card so need to buy another one for the other slot (plan is to have one card with individual mp3 tracks without folders to enable random/shuffle play and in the other sd card slot I'll have full albums in FLAC format.

Could I use an sdxc card? Wondered if anyone is successfully using a 64 or 128 gb sd card and if so what make of card are they using.

You can random play with the songs in folders. You set random play in the root folder and off it goes randomly playing from all the folders below it.

Didn't know I could do that - will give it a go thanks!

I'm using a 64gb card, mine is just a cheap one from 7dayshop works fine. I just use 192-300k MP3 files and strangely it seems to sound better than the CD player even for the same albums, not sure what they managed to do with the cd front end but it's not great. MP3 files seem better balanced for some reason.

You can get a fast SanDisk Ultra 64Gb card for £19 on Amazon at the moment. Reads at 80Mb/s, I've got its smaller 32Gb brother and its really quick to load the music from the PC and into the system.

What's £19 for plenty of storage these days?
