Pads

Featured Replies

I'm currently using 3M and some SP pads. Have heard good things about MF ones. How do they perform compared to foam ones?

Not used them personally, but I've heard they work quicker.

Anyway, hopefully this bumps it back to the top and someone comes along with an answer for you.

Not sure how, but i missed this James - apologies for that.

The MF pads normally come in 2 types.... cutting and finishing; which is primarily in the firmness of the foam backing section i believe.

The more expensive variants from Rupes etc also have some vent slots added as well..... because they work faster and can generate more heat.

I have taken to using the MF pads for harder paints and correction stages. VAG and BMW paints react well with MF pads, for example.

The pads i bought were the Flexipads range - on sale at iShine at the time i purchased.

They wash well and just need a light brush to bring back to life.
