Does my new Yeti do this?

Featured Replies

I have just taken delivery of a new tdi 150 4x4 SEL, it has front sensors in addition to the rear ones, but the hand book is less than clear ( in my view) about how they are supposed to operate. Also, hood I know which pieces of equipment can be voice controlled- if any? I am sure that I will have many more questions in the future but these will do for now.

Thanks,

Steve

If you are going forward at under about 10mph and want them displayed press the button in front of gear stick to bring sensors up on the screen, if going in reverse they come on automatically and only go off if the button is pressed or you go forward at over about 10 mph.

If you have voice control it's all explained in the main Yeti Owners Manual.

The voice control is explained in the Bolero manual rather than the book for the rest of the car.

As long as you specified the voice control option?

Otherwise it's redundant.

Siri works well if you have apple CarPlay fitted

Unfortunately the handbook ls less than clear on a lot of things!

If your in queuing traffic and moving slowly do the front Sensors come on or can you turn them off. I'm picking up a Octavia 230 soon and it has front parking sensors, never had front ones before

They can be switched on and off so no problem once your on the move.

Thanks for that

They do not come on when getting close to objects at the front unless the sensors button is pressed manually or reverse is selected.

The car has to have Smartlink, which supports both Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Both have voice.

Thanks for the advice. I didn't specify voice control, I must have missed it in the configurator. Stupidly, neither did I specify Smartlink. I did ask about it but too late to add to the order. I understand that it (Smartlink) can be added later, is that true?
