keys in washing machine

Featured Replies

So woke up this morning to find the wife had washed my keys in the washing machine (unknown reasons) I have taken the key apart and dried it out but the red light on the remote just keeps flashing, starts the car but only intermittently locks/unlocks the car, awesome. So looking at a new remote, nice one, question is that I have read that you can only programme 4 keys to the car, the car came with 2 and I had to replace 1, that makes 3 in my ownership. If previous owners have done this as well is their anyway I can delete old keys from the car, I do have a copy of vcds lite but don't really won't to kill everything if it can't be done.

No idea but ill you a thread bump

Just replace the fob part with the buttons (assuming that you key is the flip type).

The part of the key with the blade also has the transponder for the immobiliser and doesn't appear to have been affected as it will still start the car.

The fob part with the buttons can be recoded without a trip to the dealers.
