Hello all!

I just want to say 'hi' and 'Happy New Year' to everyone. I've just signed up to the forum and I'm a Fabia TDI Elegance owner. My Fabia is currently in the repair shop and I'm missing it terribly:( Got a Vauxhall Astra 1.6 hire car at the moment - less said about that the better! Thankfully, there isn;t much damage - someone in a Mk1 Nissan Micra ran into the back of me on a roundabout near Bolton. Just having a new bumper fitted and a dent on the bootlid hammered out. Needless to say, the Micra came off worse and I'd be surprised if it hasn't got written off. This is my 2nd Fabia (previously owned a 1.4 16 v Comfort) and I just love 'em to bits. Bye for now and drive safely out there!

Hi all, finally got around to getting some new shoes ordered for the girl. I'm getting a set of Hankook Ventus Evo K137 235/45 ZR18 98Y XL put onto the Pegasus alloys. I was considering changing out the locking wheel nut for just a regular nut? Which then prompted the second question, I picked up a set of Alcar 9021 17inch Steelies for Winter Tyres, do I need to run seperate nuts due to the alloy v steel nature? Hi all, Skoda Kodiak 4x4 AWD, and Skoda Kodiak front wheel drive....what codes or description spec's etc. differentiate between them ? My problem is that while my newest purchase of a 2020 Skoda Kodiak , 150 HP and Front wheel drive, is a delight in every way, my car insurance has gone through the roof, and when I queried it, I was informed that one of then reasons for the increase (more than.€200) is that its a 4x4 AWD. Only on setting 2 it’s not mega bad but it is getting worse gradually I guess it’s a dodgy bearing anyone else had it and if so was it covered by warranty ? And no it doesn’t play any tunes ….

Hi everyone, I’ve got a 2021 Superb S EL. Fantastic car, very comfortable. I’m thinking of ordering a new Superb Sportline. Has anyone driven both these trims and can tell me how to compare for comfort ? I recently tried an Octavia Sportline and it was too firm for me. Every bump was felt in contrast to my Superb. I’m hoping the Superb Sportline will be ok with the DCC in comfort mode but it does have large wheels. I realise I should really get another S EL but the Sportline looks nicer in

I have a 12 year old Skoda Octavia mk3 TSI 1.4 with 155000 miles on the clock. It has JUST scraped through its MOT after repeated emissions failures due to carbon buildup. The mechanic has told me he doesn't want to see the car back next year as it won't pass again and cleaning the carbon deposit off wouldn't be worth it given the age and value of the car. I've read a lot about Walnut Blasting to remove carbon buildup. Would it be worth it in my case or is the mechanic right, and I should just
