I have just purchased a Skoda Fabia III first registered in January 2015.

 

I decided to select the "Switch off screen option" which seemed to work OK until I switched off.

 

The following day the option had been forgotten.

On the Bolero? I presume that the idea is that you turn it off once you've set the radio to what you'd like, and turn it off for night time driving, but it comes back on at next startup so you can see what you're doing!

You don't need to turn the feature off, a simple touch on the screen or any of the butons reactivates the screen, so you can do what you need to do.

 

Sometimes if you switch off the engine it will still be active when you siwtch on, sometimes it isn't.
