Climatronic code help required

2.0d BKD Laurin and Klement

Climatronic Air con not working. Not going cold at all. (Doesn't get particularly hot either)

Pressed self diagnostic (Re-circulation + ECON)

Flaps cycled and fans blew then got two readings but I cannot find any fault codes that make sense.

Left reading       2c c

Right reading    00 h

Have used the hexadecimal convertor and wiki ross fault codes but not got anything that makes any sense.

2c equates to decimal of 44

20c equates to decimal of 524

Anyone got any ideas on this one. A re-gas would get viable but a new compressor is out of the financial equation.
