Refund on GAP insurance?

Featured Replies

Is there any sort of refund on GAP insurance?

I took out 3 years GAP on a car about 11 months ago and now sold vehicle, is there any refund element at all or is is individual policy specific?

Reading your policy should tell you all you need to know about the T&C's applying to what you bought.

You will be entitled to some form of rebate. How that rebate is calculated will depend very much on the specific terms of your policy.

For example, we'll calculate the value of the number of DAYS remaining unused and then allow you to either have that amount refunded or use it against the cost of a new policy - no cancellation, admin or transfer fees would apply. Other companies though, will calculate the rebate based on the number of MONTHS remaining unused and will deduct a cancellation fee that ranges from ~£30 to ~£60.

Where did you buy the policy from?

Have you managed to look in to this?

I'm happy to assist if I can.
