Ezilip front splitter type stuff

Featured Replies

Was asking about front splitters for octavias and someone very kindly suggested ezilip, well a look on the internet web thingy and many different versions. Well I thought for the sake of £12 ill go for a cheap ebay version and if it works, well hey ho great, if not ill still see what it looks like and if I like it on or not. So I went for this one

Arrived in two days and after cleaning down the bottom of the spolier with some neat g101 and a wipe clean, fitting was really as easy as ive ever done, I didnt want a big lairy sticky out front but you can easily move it before sticking on to stick out as far as you like, one roll left me with about 4 or 5 inches over after trimming with scissors. Im pretty pleased with it, how long it will last I dont know, tape does feel well attached but lets see how the weather will effect it, ill try and remember to update through time :)

Is yours a cheapy ebay version or the proper full fat stuff

Sorry don't actually know I bought it from a memeber on here who had sold his car prior to fitting it . But the picture with the bit you have cut off looks the same thickness and same red tape cover

that looks good mate .. any pics of the fitting from underneath ?

Well answer to how long was this morning, it fell off. It may have been my preparation and id have been better with maybe a tardis type cleaner beforehand. Ive also got some better extra strong double sided tape to try as well. Theres not really a lot to see underneath, it just sticks (or in this case didnt) onto bottom of original bumper. Ill keep updated as it goes along

i was surprised how good this stuff was very pleased with mine

So another update, the tape worked really well, but it was attached onto the original tape that wouldnt come off the rubber. It started to come off a little bit with a combination of really heavy rain and floods and very low local speed humps so I thought better fix properly, about 20 minutes with a 2mm drill bit, some self tappers and penny washers and its on now going nowhere at all. Overall a good product, worth the £12 odd quid in the first place and for another 2 or 3 quid in fixings its well worth it. thumbs up from me
