I also picked up that in UK, the electrical hatch dampers are warranty claimed, in Norway not so much. I asked as I saw some leakage on the innerside of C-pillar (in opening of hatch).

Are there any other things to be aware of, that could possibly be pitched towards the dealer?

Wear around the seatbelt where you adjust it on the B pillar. The plastic guides seem to get damaged very easily.

Headlight washers not retracting fully / properly.

Poor paint finish along the edges of the roof and around the creases on the boot lid.

If you have 'seen' problems then discuss them with your dealer.

To seek advice as to what goes wrong could ensure you have a very very long list of 'potential' problems in which some may occur and others not.

Read this forum more and then you will become more educated as to the issues with the octavia.

Why? If others are willing to support my question with potential things to check out before leaving it over, is there something wrong in that?

 

I really injoy this forum for my Skoda, but then this is still a brand new car (2014) compared to the 20 year old Polo, 31 year old Golf and the 28 year old urquattro I'd rather spend more time on investigation about. For that, there are other forums.
