Hi everyone, I've got this fault code coming up when I try to go over 60mph...

17965 - Charge Pressure Control

P1557 - 35-10 - Positive Deviation - Intermittent

I've done a block 11 scan on VCDS and the results that were logged are:

I tried to do the mr muscle but I couldnt get to the actuator linkage so i tried to move the valve and it moved up and down freely.

I've read up on the cause of the fault but my mechanical skills kinda stop me unless I've got a guide... cheers.

Boost Deviation Positive means you have a N75 that's bad/malfunctioning, actuator that's leaking, bad vacuum lines, or a sticky turbo.

You can test the N75 in VCDS engine block instruments.

Hi paul, cheers for the reply. Should the car be running when I do the N75 test or just ignition on?

Also managed to get the numbers into a graph, I didn't realise that was a thing.

Needs to be at idle when doing the N75 test. RPM should go up & down when its operating N75.

I've just been outside and tested it, nothing happens what so ever with the N18 or N75 test, my egr valve is broken and stuck open if thats related to the N18?

Hi, a few questions...

1. Which one is the N75?

2. I've read theres a few types of N75, is there a best one or just contact skoda and get them to pick one?

3. I've noticed the lower boost hose has movement in it, it's been replaced recently, could that be a cause or is there meant to be play? (see lower picture of highlighted area that moves in and out slightly)

This fault is bugging me so much, it makes motorway driving a nightmare.

I have a 2020 manual and I have a slight play with the gear knob at the end (please excuse the euphemism), I am able to twist the knob slightly, its not so loose that it feels like its coming off, but the main stick is not moving at all its just the end, so it’s not the actual gearbox. Is this normal or something that can be tightened, as I can not find a picture of the inside of the Mk4, in the Mk3 it seems to be held in place with a metal clip, so if the Mk4 is made the same way, I’m guessin

Hi Folks, Both the front and rear window washers on my MK3 Fabia not working but window wipers do operate. Google it and go through the last posts but no clue. 1) No pump sound 2) My friend help to test the fuses no. 22, 27, 31 and 46, are all fine 3) At pump, the voltage around 11.x V but it will dropped to around 0.5v when turn on the wipers 4) The washer reservoir is full 5) The car battery replaced last summer with normal 12.6V Any idea please, Many thanks in advance

I’ve recently bought a 1.0 Octavia estate etec it didn’t come with mats and I’m struggling to find mats that fit! Even genuine ones from Skoda themselves wouldn’t fit Has any one else had this issue and if so did you manage to sort it out ?
