Eagle F1 Fuel Efficiency

Featured Replies

Replaced the Michelin Pilot Primacys that came on my Fabia VRS with Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD2 a week or so ago and I think my fuel efficiency has fallen approximately 10%, on runs I used to get 50mpg it's returning more like 45mpg now. However the grip is fantastic, especially impressive in the wet. Don't see nearly so much of the traction control light now. Anyone else seen this?

I might try Michelin Energy tyres next time.

My economy dropped with my neros, but boy is it worth it!

my fuel consumption has dropped since fitting toyo proxy t1-r's however' date=' i think the main cause of the drop in mpg is the weather see:

Mine dropped a couple of mpg when I went from the standard Michelin Pilot Primacy's to Toyo T1-Rs. But the Toyos are so much quieter and grippier it's worth it.

How are the Proxes wearing Bryan? They're on my potential list

mine didn't have premicys ( I changed the fronts to eagle F1's about 2,000 miles ago) I had the conti's on, I noticed no change in fuel efficiency, more grip in corners, and more grip in braking, but less grip in traction, and more traction control comming on than the conti's, not tried them in bad rain yet, but I know it's one of their strengths (had them on a saxo VTR once) .... My tyre place told me to miss the toyo's with my mileage as apperantly they wear out V. quickly.... (I do 40k a year) , any the same tyre place has the police contract, and puts the F1's on the police scooby's......

After 13K miles and one front-to-back swap, they are just over half worn - but then I'm fairly gentle on tyres.

Better than I had feared, given the reputation the T1-S had for wearing.
