4x4 octavia

Featured Replies

hi i,m going to look at a 2005 1.9 tdi 4x4 at the weekend, to be honest its been a bit of a work horse from the pics i,ve seen but that don,t bother me as i will be using it for work and shooting.

it has 155k miles on it and the clutch was replaced last year, it comes with a years mot and new tyres all round, are there any things i should be looking for, many thanks

Check for Haldex oil changes. A 1.9 won't have a dpf which is a bonus.

It's supposed to be done every 37k miles, so not a good sign.

Also for Pd engine ensure it has been run on either vag 507.00 or 505.01 oil otherwise the camshaft may have premature wear.
