hi all i have an irritating problem in my 02 octavia tdi. when i'm driving over rough road or speed ramps every time the front two doors make an awful rattle.After looking where the noise came from i have found the problem the lower two door hinges are very worn tho i only get the play in them when the door is closed or very nearly closed i am just asking can i buy these new as its doing my head in i've seen some on ebay but would be unsure of their condition also or can a repair kit be sourced any help is very much appreciated

Could it be the cables for the window regulator? 

No it's definitely the hinge you can see where the door hinge pin goes through it the amount of play is awful also the door drops a little when i open the door thanks for the help anyway fubar

Yes they can be bought see pic:-

Removing the top bolt on the lower hinge is a pain! You need like and allen key type tool but with a Torx head or you have to cut it off, so best off buying new bolts if you go down that rout. Otherwise not a bad job.

O right i see damn that how much are they new as that picture dosent say or even if you could tell me the website you saw them on would be grate has any one ever done a how to guide on the hinges before thanks again for all your help

1/4 drive wouldn't be strong enough I wouldn't have thought, 1/2 inch socket with ratchet/bar is too long and you can't get it in, the set that was posted above looks ideal though.

When I changed the Octy door I needed to keep the old hinge so had to cut the bolt with a dremmel which took ages, at least if you had new bolts you could butcher the hinge.

Yea thats true thanks for that mate i will give that a wirl if i can get new hinges cheap that is or good second hand ones
