Have you thought about a lease or PCP on a new VRS?  I think the one in your link is high milage for its age and price but that's just my opinion, plus it doesn't look like it has any extras so just the basic model.

I'll disagree with LHVRS, I wouldn't be worried about the mileage. It's three years old in September, so say 20,000 a year. Parkers values this car at over £14k with 30k miles, so the price isn't far out.

(I once bought a Citroen Xantia with 55k on the clock, all done in 18 months. I put another 60k on with no more than minor usual routine Citroen repairs - suspension stuff, etc. Then got a Mitsubishi Galant that'd done only 5k in 3 years - gearbox went a year later.)

There are 1.4TSi SE cars around the same age with 30k and only a little cheaper than this vRS.  If it looks good, you like it, and you can get a few quid off, why not? That dealer looks like it doesn't sell rubbish, and should be happy to show you the history - and maybe you could call the previous owner to ask what life it's had, where it's been?

Also the basic vRS spec isn't too bad, it'll still have the CD player in the glovebox!

I like the Pictoris wheels - got them on my vRS. And easier to clean than the two-tone ones - but just my opinion!

Thank you for the advise.

The miles are from the previous owner living up North but working in London. Might pop down later and see what they say.

Flying Gecko has made some good points, for me its just a personal thing as I do low milage. Car looks clean :)
