Hi All, Another Newbie

Featured Replies

I'm kind of cheating here cause I don't actually have a Skoda....................... Yet!

Don't worry, It's ordered though :)

Brand spanking new Octavia 1.9TDI Laurin & Klement Hatchback in Black Magic Pearl with Onyx leather interior.

Should get it 3rd March 2006.

This'll be my first Skoda so if anyone has any hints, tips, advice, suggestions or whatever, please let me know - it'd be most appreciated!

Cheers All

Paul

Welcome to Briskoda. That is a nice car you have on order. :D

Very nice! Welcome aboard! :)

Suggestions . . . . . remap, green panel filter, freeflow exhaust . . . . :D

Is that engine a 100 or 130 bhp engine? If it's the PD100, a dragon tuning box for about £250 will give you about 30% increase in power for 10 mins fitting. Well worth it! :)

hi. and welcome.

Welcome :)

3rd March eh? Time to get your wishlist sorted then ;)

If it's not being too nosey, what are you replacing?

Best

Hi, sorry all, I reposted my "Hi All" thread in the Maintenance & Performance New Octavia section and forgot about checking back here.

Ok, here goes,

DGW & Octav.ed: Cheers for the welcomes.

Yashicamat: The 1.9TDI is the 105bhp engine, I would have liked the 2.0TDI, but it's a company car and the ESP package took me up to my spend limit.

Heresmo: Current car is an '03 Vaux Vectra 2.0TDI, however then Vauxhall's diesel engines weren't the common rail type jobbies you get nowdays, It's ok for motorway use, but generally a bit slow. The 1.9TDI PD will wee all over the Veccy :D

Hi all again....

Quick update now i've got my new Octavia......

I LOVE it.

It is way better than my old veccy in every way possible.

The heated seats are amazing, the parking sensors are brill, I bloody love it.

Also, if anyone is interested, my tomtom go 300 sits very nicely wedged in the storage compartment on the top of the dash (with a little bit of help from some velcro stickers)

The good thing about this is that when I park up and take the tomtom out, there is no nasty looking suction bracket on the window to advertise that there's a tomtom in the car.

He-he! Roll on summer :D

ooooohhh! Sounds nice.

Welcome to the site :D
