xenon headlamp mounting

Featured Replies

A guy reversed into the front of my 2012 superb at lunchtime - minor damage to bumper etc and looked like a smart repair would sort it.  But now I'm home and had a look the o/s/f xenon unit is loose and it's the mount on top of the unit that has snapped.  His bumper was resting against the light.

I presume this will be a new unit - I'd have liked to avoid the hassle of claiming on my insurance and waiting for an age to recover my excess but I know the cost of these units is massive.

So any thoughts before I call up the insurance company.  I'm actually not sure I should be driving it with a loose headlight anyway.

Thanks

Ian

Thanks, since realised that I couldn't open the bonnet easily like before so think the impact result may be greater than I thought. Not got time to bumble about so going to let the insurance sort it.
