Hi everyone,

I bought a 2nd hand yeti 12 plate 10 months ago and it's been brilliant..... Until yesterday when the cd changer failed to play, eject or recognise that I have a cd in there -all 5 of them are in there! My options on the screen show the cd and sd are greyed out. I have read pulling the fuse out and back in may work. I have looked at the hand book and there are two fuse boxes, in the dash and under the bonnet- both boxes mention radio.....so which fuse box is it? I want to try this before going to a dealer to sort it; I hope it's an easy fix!£££££

Any other suggestion would be great- I know nothing about cars but I will have a go!

the bonnet based fuse is a total reset of the unit, fuse 8?, try that!!

Hi, I pulled the fuse, gave it 20 seconds and put it back, even restarted the engine incase it made a difference, no change! The cd/sd buttons are greys out and the cd choices say 'no cd' in all of them. Please, any other ideas before I have to spend money at a dealer?

Is the CD changer in the boot or are they in the head unit?

Cd changer is in the head unit. Is that better or worse? Lol

If it was in the boot like some are it may have been a fuse blown so the head unit cannot see it.

 

Edit: Is there a Restore Factory Settings (Reset) in the menu anywhere?

Yes, I tried restore factory settings, that just cancelled my radio stations..... Not looking good is it!

How about removing the discs then fuse,reset, reinsert the discs.

No I haven't tried removing the discs....don't know how!?? Is it fairly simple? I don't want to make a complete hash of it

Which is having more functions  Bolero or Amunsden ...cos I think i have a Swing radio
