Apple CarPlay and iPhone.

Featured Replies

Evening guys

Does anyone use Apple CarPlay in their car with an iPhone in a mophie case. I cannot get mine to recognise the phone. Works great without case. Just wondered if anyone uses a mophie battery case on their phone.

Cheers

Chris

If you look at the information for your case you will probably find it says the port on the bottom is for charging only and not for data transfer. The lighting port is a 20pin port. Some are for charging, some for data. Your case most likely doesn't support data and that's why it won't work, sorry.

Thanks for the reply. The case charges and syncs to my laptop in iTunes ok. It's a feature of the mophie case.

I have read online it should work. But guess not. Not a big deal I suppose. Once again. Thanks for the reply

Ahh really? That is weird, then. Sorry man. At least when your phone is plugged into the car it will be getting charged, but will be a real nuisance taking it out every time. What do you plan too do?

One thing to keep in mind: next time you get in your car (and have a spare few moments) before you connect to ApplePlay, turn on Bluetooth and connect your phone to the Bluetooth of the car. Then, if you ever get in and can't be bother connecting your phone up, it will still automatically connect to the Bluetooth. :)

Yeah cool. Have connected Bluetooth all ready. I don't plug phone in all the time but it would be really convenient to be able to use CarPlay in the mophie. One day maybe[emoji106]
