Leaf blowers

Featured Replies

I read with interest the use by some of electric leaf blowers to dry their cars during the decontamination and cleaning process..... I have a wet and dry vac that also blows but I run the risk of reintroducing contaminants onto the vehicle given its regular use as a valenting vac.

So does anyone use a leaf blower and have any recommendations please?

I thought the ideal plan was to buy a pet drier as they can cost only half of what a dedicated vehicle drier would cost?  Though I've not bought one, my leaf collector/blower would not be the best tool to dry off a washed car.

Thanks for the replies.....the pet dryer looks decent without breaking the bank.

I guess the type of equipment doesn't really matter so long as it does the job.....looked at leaf blowers because they seemed easier to carry......?

Thaks for the replies.....I thnk something like those mentioned maybe more suited....they take longer to clear the water but are clearly more flexible to get into tighter spots as oppsosed to a leaf blower that blasts everything to death and potentially creates a dust storm ruining any hard work!

I bought a pet dryer some 2 years ago for £35. Works a treat for that sort of job.

I use it more than I use drying towels too.

This makes more sense given the less we touch the paint the better......

I don't use any cloths at all on mine to dry it, just the pet dryer. I start with the mirrors and bars, then do the cockpit and screen then work my way front to back/top to bottom
