1.4 16V water pipe 'crack pipe'

Featured Replies

Please bear with me... This relates to the water pipe 032 121 065 which is found on a lot of 1.4/1.6 VAGs. My case is an old Polo 1.6.

I did the head gasket job, put it all back together, and when refilling the coolant, it all came directly out from behind the water pump...

So, old heated plastic isn't the greatest. New set ordered at £100 at the dealership. :notme:

My question is pretty straight forward:

are these pipes fixed with any sort of bayonette, or is it just to wiggle it in there (backside of water pump) ?
