Retro Fitting Options

Featured Replies

Is it possible to retro fit items like tyre pressure monitors and light assist to octy II's after build? I ask this because it seems to me that other than the switches or sensors I cant imagine that VAG would go to the effort of producing more components than they need to so something like light assist would simply need a replacement switch and then have VAG COM adjust the setting as I am pretty certain that the rain sensor will work for both. My thinking of this is owing to the retro fitting of cruise in the octy 1 was straight forward enough so maybe other things can be done.

The tyre pressure monitor simply consists of adding a dashboard switch to wiring which is probably in place and a bit of re-programming. Probably similar for for light assist but I doubt you could retrofit these 2 options for less than £95 which is the total cost if you spec them in the first place.

The cost doesnt bother me too much I would expect it to cost more to be done after it had left the factory, it was the 3 month delay in getting the car with the bits I wanted that put me off.

Tyre pressure monitor works off the ESP sensors, so will be standard with that and not possible otherwise?
