Update Maps To ECE 2016/17

Featured Replies

Hello,

I would like to update my maps on my Fabi III from 2015 so I went to updateportal.skoda-auto.com, entered my VIN.

It showed me a ECE 2016/17 update I downloaded and extracted on my freshly formated SD card, all with their tool.

The problem is when I go to System Information -> Update System, the update isn't found. Same with a USB key.

If there is an orginal SD card I should use and update, where is it in my card ? I 've only seen a SD card slot I'm using for media.

The file the tool downloaded is called: STD2_0635_EU_1_2016_2017.zip ~13GB

Do you think the skodaportal tool is giving me the wrong software update for my system ?

Or Maybe I shouldn't use my own SD card and use a hidden one ?

What could I do to succeed in my quest ?

Here are my system info:

I just found the Plastic Navigation SD card case in my glove... empty.

So two options:

- My card is connected somewhere in my car

- I lost this little peace of dream

My Sat Nav SD card is in one of the SD card slots in the glovebox...(Seat Ibiza)

Yes but I've got only one slot in my glovebox, I can't find the other one :D And in the manual, there isn't any other slot :/

I have a factory fitted sat nav in my Fabia 3.

Only one SD slot is visible in the glove box. This is for an SD Media card. (but it will also run the SD Nav Card)

If you remove the glove box completely (screws need to be undone) it reveals a second SD slot for the SD Nav Card.

I only found this out when I asked my dealers mechanic why I didn't have two SD slots.

Maybe the fitted single SD access panel has been fitted by mistake at the factory?

Anyway it might be worth you looking.

My Infotainment system is the Amundsen.

Just a guess, but maybe you have to extract the Zip file?

Of course I did, I told you I used the skoda tool that extracts everything on the sd card automatically :)

@Fabblack: I'll try to unscrew my globebox if it isn't too risky. Thanks for the info :)
