Seat belt fault

Hi every one i dont know if this is a common fault but while i drive my 4x4 est the flaming seat belt light comes on and off most of the time i can live with that but the damn ding ding ding is driveing me crazy any one had this problem and fixed it please  my own ges is a seat belt tensioner fault

 

any help is good or a big  hammer might come into play lol

I think you can code the warning out with VCDS. Where abouts in Derbyshire are you?

Hi i live in codnor  between heanor and riply im gessing you have one of them code things if so  could you set up my cruise when i get it lol kill 2 birds with one stone  of corse havent got a clue what VCDS is lol  im new to skodas driven them before but never own one till now  and i love mine all ready

It will be worth checking the plug under the seat first. It's the one that isn't yellow (the yellow one is the seat airbag).

You can also disconnect the black plug ( the one with 2 wires connected to it) under the seat to disable it

Thanks guys ill take a look today my batt just died lol but when i brought the car i thought that batt wont last long so its cool got one comming this morning then ill look at them plugs ,

Hi yes i saw that about 60 miles away i think but once i got my stuff if you was willing id drive to you give me a day out us oldies  need some thing to do lol

while i here all i want to add sat nav to my car too  been looking at some half are older skoda ones on the bay the rest are new  any advise re this would be very good

I have VCDS and I live near Long Eaton, which is closer to you.

 Wow that would be  much better true  well once i got my  parts sorted if its ok id take you up on that  got to sell my  shogun first to pay for the bits i want on my car lol

No worries. I fitted cruise to my 4x4. Do you know if your steering controller supports cruise? Mine did fortunately.

 to be honest i dont have a clue if it does or not im just kinda hopeing it does  mine is a strange one i think its ex candoc car as its badge less and i seen a  05 with badges and a 07 with badges but not my 06

is there a way i can find out if mine does support it or not ??

You need to either scan it with vcds or physically check it. To get at it you need to remove the airbag, steering wheel, trim etc. So using vcds will be far easier.

Would that be ok to do at some pont i need sell my shogun first as no point unless i  can go buy the stuff i need

Whooo you dunno what a relife that is to not have that ding ding ding all the time pulling the plug fixed it im so happy was driveing me nuts thank you
