Interior upgrades

Featured Replies

Don't do it - they're terrible. Worst thing I've ever bought as a car accessory. DIY painting would definitely provide a better solution - no matter how poorly you do it.

I colour coded the stereo and gear surround and they looked good

cheers for the heads up on that. what about those door handles and levels in silver that super skoda sell?

i'm thinking of using silver plasti-kote aersol on the dash bits, anyone tried that?

if your spraying interior bit just use plastic filler primer (very good for hiding any imperfections), then top coat, then laquer will end up with a brilliant finish

Just done the radio surround with metallic silver plasti-kote, alll properly prepared and primed first, looks great. tried some lacquer where we had some overspray on the board the surround was sitting on, obviously it wasn't properly  dry or prepared and a wooden surface, but it turned the paint from silver to grey which as no good. Concerned it might do this on the surround. I see plasti kote have a clear spray, not marketed as lacquer, a few people else where saying you must use this plasti kote paints.

The other point is, does plasti kote need any protection layer on it or is it hard enough stuff

I've changed some of my interior in the vrs.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with all this but would like to do a few bits. The first being the rear badges on my other car, a mondeo. I know that the plastidip spray can be sprayed onto the badges while insitu and overspray and paint in between the letters can be peeled off. Is this the same idea as plasti kote?

Just phoned local dealer, they can only come up with all black vents on their system :(

Mines a 2014, i'm gonna go for the door parts off superskoda. Ant has told me its the Fabia Sport that had the silver framed air vents. I'll try my local dealer with that piece of knowledge to see if they can now track them down new

That piece of knowledge worked, they can get them

That's a modest statement

Update, removed all the vents and sprayed them, plus the gear stick surround

Easiest way most of the time!

Get them any colour you want as well :)
