Fitting a mk4 golf gt turbo

Featured Replies

Hi guys looking for a bit of advice, my turbos seen better days and I plan on replacing with another standard unit, I don't intend to chase figures so standard setup is fine for me, what I'm a bit unsure of is if I were to get a recon mk4 golf gt turbo would it bolt straight on to my blt fabia, I understand the egr ports are different but I currently run an egr delete so that wouldn't be an issue, I've also heard of people saying pipework won't fit, the reason I'm thinking of this is because I'd rather not fit another KKK and would prefer a garret as it seems to be the more desirable unit, I know it will probably need clocked but if it's relatively simple to go down this route then I'd rather do that and have potentially a better reliable turbo, failing that then I'll need to just fit another KKK, many thanks

Will fit, the housing will just need to be rotated or 'clocked' to the same orientation as the original.
