twincharged Fabia VRS producing no boost

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Recently the car has started developing a habbit of having no boost when taking off well only happened to me few times but the mrs says its happens every now and then  , some times it chimes in at 3-4k rpm but the other day got absolutely nothing from taking off, felt like the car had the power of a kei-class car going up a hill :D

The car does shake a fair bit at cold start which has gotten worse over the years but dealer says its just part of cold start phase. just before the 60000km service it did start misfiring with engine light/ fault code logged but dealer told me they cant actually establish which cylinder it was.

Got the usual dealer spiel that the plugs will be old so shaking is worse, new set of plugs made no difference.

Suspect diverter valve maybe? Or the wiring to it

Is it easy to change and part cost? Cars still under warranty but get usual if we cant diagnose it theres nothing wrong spiel.

Does any of the SC stuff need removal etc for clutch pack replacement as missus reckons its sort developed after that.

It is Supercharger to 3,500rpm & Super & Turbo 2.400-3,500 rpm,  Turbo Only from 3,500 rpm.

Misfires can have 2 cylinders disabled and the Turbo Charger.

The diagnosis needs done correctly.

Someone that knows the engines and how to diagnose.

The Engine needs sorted out and then the DSG also needs diagnosed for any problems.

No point using a Dealership where they have all the gear and nobody with an idea or even a knowledge of Twinchargers.

You best talk with Skoda Australia & see where your car needs to go to get maintained and repaired.
