How green should a washed filter be? (56k)

Featured Replies

Apologies for big pic. Now I had some oil I decided to re-wash and oil my green filter again. Brushed out all the particles carefully, then washed it with a soft brush in warm soapy water, for a good 5 minutes. But it didn't seem to come up as clean as the clean side of the filter, which is bright green. Two pics to show what I mean. I know its clean, but the fact its a darker green than the other side always leaves me thinking maybe its not as clean as it could be?

The recently debugged and washed side

The clean side which barely needs touching.

the spray oil is green in colour, that should give its colour back a bit,but mines alot darker on ones side to the other.

I shan't worry then. :D I guess its got something in there that nothing's going to get out without doing damage to the cotton gauze itself. :)

it also shows its doing its job,if it was dirty on both sides ,i'd worry that it wasn't filtering everything.
