I want to order a 1.4 DSG SE L and the standard option is 18" wheels. Will the car ride OK on these? I could order 17" super rowi wheels which would give me a deeper sidewall and I guess a softer ride but I don't know if the low rolling resistance tyres would be stiffer than normal, thus cancelling out the fact that they have deeper sidewalls.

Has anyone got the super rowi fitted and can they let me know how the ride is? Observations from any owners with the 18" option would be gratefully appreciated too.  

I have 18's on mine & find them very smooth over bumps & I'm driving on Irish Roads!!! Go with the 18's, they look better on the car proportionately also!

I have 19’s on mine but also run 17” winter wheels, there is very little difference in the ride quality between them, but the 17’s look pants compared to the bigger 19’s.

I have that engine/transmission and 18"s and couldn't be happier.
