Wheel refurb in Mansfield Area....

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend? Nottingham curbs have caught me out :(

They are the vRS diamond cut alloys, so I'm nervous just throwing them anywhere...

Can recommend Lepsons, not local but they do a collect and return service.  They did a perfect job on my badly curbed diamond cut wheels and come highly recommended on several Golf forums

Thanks - What did they charge if you dont mind me asking?

EDIT - WOW - Just checked their pricelist, and that is the most expensive I have ever seen anywhere charge (£100/wheel plus £15 each wheel if tyres are still on - wtf?)  :x  :x

The issue is they need special equipment to refrub Diamond Cut wheels. it is a complex process to do properly, you can not sand blast the paint off or use any old lathe to cut the face so anywhere that can do Diamond Cut wheels is going to be very expensive compared to ordinary painted and lacquered wheels

For some reasons I have deleted all my emails to them but if I remember correctly I paid £124 but I did go for the insurance at £10 each way - would not do that again as their couriers seen very careful people and Lepsons wrap the wheel very well. Just make sure you protect the wheel well for collection, I wrapped in cardboard and gaffer tape They prefer you to send the wheel with tyre which they remove and refit and rebalance  - they remove the old stick-on weights before the refurb and fit new stick-on ones when balancing.  You can just send the wheel but they then want you to send it in a proper wheel box.

Their telephone lady contact was very helpful and knowledgable so give them a ring to discuss costs and options.
