power outlet plug not working

Featured Replies

hi all, having a bit of trouble with my power outlet plug, seemingly appears to be giving no power out to my phone charger or my handheld scanner charger which i use for work, unsure if it's been tampered with due to it being an ex police car, or if the connection is dirty?

are there any particular common issues with it?

just checked and that bulb is working

Have you checked the fuse yet, you might be lucky and that's all it is.I blew this fuse once when a plug fell apart inside the power output and the positive and negative came together by part of the metal plug crossing them both. The fuse was a 25amp marked one and I found it inside the fuse box on the right side of the dash. You get to it by opening the drivers door and taking off the side fuse panel. There are 2 25amp fuses which are close together, so check both and you will see if the power outlet one has blown.
