Went to see an Octavia 1.8T 4x4 Elegance Estate 02 Eucalyptus Green. Parking sensors, cruise control, factory tints etc. Around 41,000 miles on the clock bodywork very nice needs a valet, MOT and full check up. It has just had the 40,000 mile service. I went to 'Simpsons' SKODA DEALERSHIP in Colne Lancashire. Sales person Wayne dealt with me; very professional and helpful. Gave me the car keys let me take it for a spin on my own (wife and kid)...that madea nice change compared to the SKODA DEALERSHIP I went to in Bury. The showroom/building etc was very flash as well. Very impressed with their general attitude put a deposit on there and then. Its got 'walnut' inserts that look a bit leary but the wife likes them...you know SWMBO. I pick up on Friday.

I only just cancelled my Insurance with Admiral on Thursday! I could have just transfered the car over!

I need some advice on good Insurance Companies that will give a good quote and will be 'reasonable' with modifications (mainly remap, panel filter, exhaust, coilovers and alloys, TIP etc.). Does anyone have any ideas? I have already been on CONFUSED.COM and tried GREENLIGHT and A-Plan on the web.

just insured the BMW track car with them.. Mods declared ( cage and stripped ) fully comp £249.....

- limited milage but they do full range of policies...

Try Brentacre aswell. i insured my 205 Mi16 and they were very mod friendly,

good thing ive found to do is what you have already done plan what mods you are going to do and delcare them from day one of the insuance quote

The problem is due to my postcode and lack of NCB (2 years at present) they would probably say 'No way mate' so I will try mods bit by bit.

UPDATE...spoke to Admiral they have not completed my cancellation so I can have my policy reinstated! Should the quote change...the car is exactly the same except for being and estate?

Estate and Hatch should be exactly the same Group.

I have ordered a set of GOODYEAR EAGLE F1's as well. The tre place tried to sell me a new GOODYEAR TYRE...called Extreme (I think) he said they were high performance as well. I had no come across them and could not tell if they would be good or not so I stuck to the Eagles...has anybody heard of they apparently and asymmetrical tread.
