Does Eurocarparts stock genuine Skoda parts?

Featured Replies

I am thinking of getting a local Independent to change the oil & plugs in my 2013 Mk. II VRS.

Does Eurocarparts stock genuine Skoda parts that would not invalidate my warranty?

If so, what are the relevant parts that I would need? i.e. Oil filter, sump plug & washer and spark plugs.

Thanks.

No.

The Local Independent can get the Genuine Parts from TPS.

Or they are not expensive across a VW, Seat, Audi or even a Skoda Parts Counter at a Main Dealership.

Thanks, I guess I will use a Skoda main dealer then, no point driving over to them, buying the parts and carting them over to an Independent to fit.

On another front, if you are standing in front of the engine bay, looking down at the engine, are the plugs numbered 1 to 4 from left to right or right to left?

If you want genuine dealer parts, they will get them for you on "special order"

Changing Twincharger Spark Plugs is not particularly involved or difficult but the Turbo Pipe and other bits need removed at the Drivers side,

any competent mechanic or technician should do this well enough,

then fit the plugs with the correct latest gap as VW spec and refit pipework.

Odd how often this can be messed up.

So as well if warranty worries you and is valid then have a Main Dealer Technician do it, you have the peace of mind of them

fitting the correct plugs correctly and even if consumables the work and parts guaranteed and warrantied.

Brake Fluid is due to be changed at 3 years if not already done according to the Service Schedule,

then each 2 years.

You don't need to use genuine parts to keep your warranty.

& Audi Technicians seem to have no issues fitting DENSO to 1.4 TFSI 185ps Twinchargers, and these do much better life wise than

the Skoda insist on NGK that are liable to have issues.
