Hi all,

This may sound impatient but it is my first new car and I have no idea how long the wait is? I ordered a 2.0 TDI Ambiente with no optional extras (it came with all I need) and I want to know how long the wait is for it to be delivered. I would ask the dealer but the person I dealt with is away. I must admit the statements like March sound quite scary!!!

Yes they had to increase the number of shifts late last year in order to meet the demand for Octavias.

My Elegance Estate took roughly 10 weeks from placing the order, but the time soon went.

Also do not get it bent when it arrives, I had not owned my car more than 3 days before some idiot drove into the on coming traffic and straight into the front of my vehicle. It took 3 weeks to repair due to panel shortages, so I was told, due to the factory taking all panels for production vehicles.

Three days later that Octavia mangling idiot was picked up for threatening a group of people with a loaded fire arm so perhaps we were lucky just getting a crumpled front end. It ain't much fun out there on the roads these days.

Crumbs that's ages when my wife ordered her Honda Jazz it didn't take that long' date=' and it was coming from Japan!!! Is Skoda suffering from under capacity?

You can probably see from the spec I ordered that they had build the car to order. Then Skoda had a 2-3 week Christmas holiday, I only hope the car is worth the wait.

Update due to arrive on Feb the 7th. That makes it about a 6 week

wait for a guide to people if you order a bog standard car with no extras.

Another note was that prices have gone up well that was what the dealer told me. I did the normal in this case with these type of situations

i.e. I don't care the price is agreed so they cannot change it ;-)

Oh yes just read what car and saw the Octavia has just won another group test and just beat the new Civic!!!!
