....didnt look great but wondered if it looked worse than it really was? Is the steel thick enough to last for years or was it a bad example? It had covered 122,000 miles and mechanically had been well cared for with literally 100s spent on it. New DMF too.

 

Are these generally reliable?

Ah. The one I saw didn't look like that! However in every way looked well cared for!

My 2008 Vrs looks no where as good as that underneath Silver. My OCD is telling me to remove the rear subframe, strip and powder coat it and replace all the the arms and drop links. There's not even rust on the exhaust.
