still no news yet

the bumpers are back on and they are stripping the interior

just the wheels to repaint and all the locks and keys to replace and she should be done

adam

Amazing how "standard" they look without the vRS front bumper on. :D

Sure you'll be glad to be back with her again, even with her now dubious past. Thinking about any extra security or do you think you were just an unlucky target for some crims intent on using it for some serous crime?

i've thought about this alot

everything from anti ram raid posts for the drive, trackers alarms and even a big **** dog for the house

but on the whole i think i was real unlucky so i think i'll keep the keys in a better place, after all it is only a car and if someone wanted it badly enough they could go to EXTREME lengths to get hold of it.

i read a post on scooby net where a chap had a tracker fitted that required a card to be carried on the drivers person or the tracker would be activated!!!

the thieves somehow knew this and broke into his house and beat the **** out of his eight year old son until he handed it over!!!!

i think if someone broke into my house and demanded my keys i'd hand them over no problem, after all a car is insured for damage, my family isn't!!!!!!

adam

:agree: and it's worth reading the small print on house insurance policies also IMO

Adam. I friend who has an Impreza leaves his keys in the middle of the coffee table. They're not visible from outside but once someone is in the house they can see them easily and get away without making a big mess.

it is scary to think of the lengths some people will go to just to get your car!!!

it's worrying that cars used to be thought safe if they were alarmed or immobilised

adam

I do that, have the keys out of view of the windows, but in the middle of the hall table on the thought that if they brake in for the car I'd rather they didnt make much mess.

But then I also have a wooden truncheon clipped above the stairs in convenient reach should I get broken into at night. :>
