Rear passenger window problem

Featured Replies

Well after owning my octy for 18 months thought I would finally investigate why the rear passenger window has never worked..

It clicks when buttons pressed on drivers door panel but no power to rear door.

So I took off the rear door card which was easier than I expected and this is what I found..

I'm thinking the regulator is knackered and it's been bodged rather than repaired..

The reason for no power was it wasn't even plugged in and now I know why.

Any ideas?

Interesting bodge but surprisingly not the first time I've seen exactly that done lol.

I'd start with the obvious by getting a known working regulator off a scrap car and giving it a try. It'll probably cost buttons and plenty being broken.

If that doesn't help you can start playing with the fun of wiring...

Well I bought myself a regulator off of eBay and now have a working electric window for the first time in 18 months..

When I removed motor off the old one the cables were like a birds nest around the gear on the motor.

Also anyone doing this remember to reconnect doir release cable before refitting door card
