Beige interior troubles

Featured Replies

So this is my first car with a leather upholstery and that too a light one.

What I've found out was, even a small amit of sweat would stain the leather so I purchased meguairs leather cleaner conditioner.

Can anyone please help me understand how I can maintain the leather well.

Right now, I use a toothbrush and apply the cleaner and scrub it. But i dont think Ishould use it product regularly.

I would like to use mild body soap and mix it with lukewarm water for general cleaning and use the conditioner and cleaner once every 3 months( unless the interior becomes too dirty).

Can anyone share their experiences on the same?

Also, it looks like the leather feels like it's got a layer of clear coat or vinyl,in such a case would the conditioner even work to keep the leather supple if I use it regularly or should I follow any other procedures?

You are quite correct in the fact the leather has a plastic coating and any conditioner doesn't work and actually makes thing's worse by attracting dirt as it just sits on top of the coating as a film.

I suggest after cleaning the leather you use a protector such as Dr Leather dye block others are available and I'm sure you'll get suggestions
