  1. Hi Guys, I'm looking to buy the B14s and get it shipped to India. attached is the current look of my octy..(Its the MK3 i believe.) Is there any specific part number of B14s i should buy ? Any reviews on the b14s would be really helpful. Thanks
  2. reviving this old thread. I'm also looking at b14 . I drive the octavia 2.0TDI, (pre latest face lift version). Any opinions on b14 coilovers? By the way Alextan, did you get b14s ?
  3. Hi Guys, I got hooked onto this thread after trying to search for a way to enable video on the move. I understand that its possible only via a VCP . But i would also like to understand what all can be tuned with a VCP VS a VCD. Is there some location where i can see the capabilities of VCP and VCD? My main requirements are generally only cosmetic stuff like enable video on the move, probably increase the count of indicator from 3 to 5 on a soft touch. Such kind of things.
  4. No problems. Thanks for your opinions
  5. Yeah the orange pad I've taken is equivalent to CG hex pads. Let me check out between m205 and scholl . But are there any other 1 step polishes you suggest?
  6. Aliexpress to the rescue and i picked up a polisher. Wanted to try out a new brand (at least that's what i think it is) called 'clover'. Some pads are also on the way. I"ve picked up orange, red, white(CCS) pads as well. Its been 2 yrs since i did any detailing on my car and I see a lot of swirls and hence the efforts. I'm confused about picking up a good 1 step polish, any help on this please? I"m looking at Meguir's M205 , and i believe the M205 with an orange pad should be ample to really cut out the general swirls. Any opinions guys? Thanks
  7. your right. I need it to be shipped to india. Most of the polishers are predominantly getting shipped from US. 100$ polisher is costing me another 120$ to ship it to india
  8. Yes, I have looked at that as well. But my problem is sourcing these. Sourcing das6 was tougher than gritos, hence I've didn't look much into it
  9. Hi guys, I finally decided to give up on going to a detailer but instead start doing it myself. On that note I firstly need to buy a DA polisher ( no question about rotary at all) but I'm a bit confused on how to choose. I've narrowed down on a griots garage flex and Bosch but the thing is except Bosch I will have to import the rest. While digging deeper I figured that the rpm range on the Bosch is 350-3500rpm . My question is would this be sufficient to remove swirls and etching due to bird dropping. I do have prior experience using a polisher but never bought one. Hence the ask.
  10. Thank you guys.. Will give tonyblue's opinion a try and come back on it .. Thanks again
  11. ok thanks. I'm anyway planning nappa for the car, will see if i can do something at that time.
  12. My Octy is about 2 yrs old and over this period because of a lot of palm creams, oils and so on the steering wheel has become shiny . I want to restore this to the original look, so last weekend i took the help of a toothbrush and some soap water. However it didn't give me the result i was expecting. Any idea how i can get back that brushed look into the steering wrap? The steering come leather wrapped from the showroom. I've not made any mods yet.
  13. I use hot water, lemon generously dissolved in it and a pinch of shampoo. Spray it generously on the upholstery and use a shoe brush to remove the accumulated grime. Mine is actually vinyl leather. so i'm not sure if the same would work on real leather.
  14. I'm facing a similar noise and the service centre has almost confirmed its a rack issue. The saddest part is mine is a brand new car. I'd like to know if the steering rack and steering column mean the the same? Also any help on what all needs to be checked post the replacement would be really helpful. Thanks
