Lack of power on 1.8 20v

Featured Replies

I have been having a hunt through the forum and found a couple of references to similar problems but no solutions or updates yet so was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction.

My 99' model 1.8SLXi 20v (non-turbo) has started playing up, juddering under acelaration and having no guts to go up hill (over the M62). If I change gear or dip the clutch quickly and rev the engine it seems ok for a bit again. Thought it was dirty fuel at first but its still not happy. Anty ideas?

Thanks

Andy

Sounds like a trip to your local garage is in order, air filter, fuel filter springs to mind. When you find what the problem is please let us know.
