SMS not displaying on maxidot

Hi All

I've recently upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini to a Galaxy J5 (2016), ever since whenever I receive an text there is nothing displayed.

I get the New Message notification, I still see who it's from and the closed envelope symbol, but when I read or listen to the message there is nothing there...

I have searched but cannot find any information on exactly what's causing this or what the solution might be??
