I've been told this is the best place to come for Skoda banter and info.

I've just picked up a 06 plate Octavia VRS.

My previous car was a 2003 BMW e46 330ci. Miss it already but I had it two years an the gear box was starting to concern me so the time was right for it to go.

Ive a few plans for the octavia, but to start with I need to get it booked into paint for a scrape on the bumper and some paint on the nearside front wing.

Also, not sure if anyone can help, but I have an annoying rattle. Im 90% certain its trim and its coming from the rear near side. Any ideas?

Also when its dark and my lights are on, i can see a very faint flicker from the lights, and a dimming of them (and interior lights if they are on) when the steering wheels turned.

Welcome to Brisky, always good for help on here, I'm also a Lincolnshire resident (in theory), but in fact only SWMBO and my cars live there since my employer thinks I should work away (although 14 months away out of my first 22 on the job does seem quite a lot!)
